Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex twice world title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

As both boxers met for the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really proceeding.
